UNITEK H1310A USB 3.0 Switch Selector, 2-PC 4-Port KVM Switcher, 5Gbps Hub to Share Keyboard, Mouse, Printer, Flash Drive Between Two Computers

Streamline your dual-computer workstation with the UNITEK USB 3.0 Switch. This clever device eliminates the clutter and hassle of constantly swapping USB cables, allowing you to share one set of peripherals between two computers effortlessly. Whether you’re toggling between a work laptop and a personal desktop, or a Windows PC and a Mac, this switch boosts productivity and keeps your desk organized.
One Hub, Two Computers, Total Control
First and foremost, this switch solves a common workspace dilemma. Connect your keyboard, mouse, webcam, and printer to the hub, then connect the hub to two computers. With a single button press, you transfer control of all four devices from one computer to the other. This is ideal for home office professionals and developers who use multiple machines.
Don’t Sacrifice Speed for Convenience
Unlike simpler USB 2.0 switches, this hub provides full USB 3.0 SuperSpeed (5Gbps) bandwidth. Therefore, you can connect an external SSD or hard drive and enjoy fast file transfers without needing to physically move the drive. The dedicated high-power port ensures even bus-powered drives work reliably. For the best experience, pair it with quality UGREEN USB 3.0 cables.
Built for Reliability and Ease
Encased in a durable ABS housing, this switch is built for daily use. The included 5V/2A power adapter guarantees stable performance for all connected devices. Moreover, its universal driverless compatibility means it works instantly with any modern system, from a corporate Windows PC to a personal MacBook.

10 FAQs:
1. Does this switch share the monitor as well (full KVM)?
No, this is a USB-only peripheral switch. It shares USB devices only (keyboard, mouse, drives, etc.). For sharing a monitor as well, you would need a full KVM switch with video support.
2. Can I use it to transfer files directly between the two connected computers?
No. This switch allows the computers to share the USB devices attached to the hub, but it does not create a direct network connection for file transfer between the two host PCs themselves.
3. Will my wireless keyboard/mouse receiver work with this switch?
Yes, perfectly. Plug your wireless receiver into one of the USB ports on the switch. When you switch the button to the corresponding computer, the receiver will connect to that PC, and your wireless peripherals will work.
4. Is the power adapter always necessary?
It is highly recommended, especially if connecting power-hungry devices like external hard drives. For low-power devices like a keyboard and mouse, it may work without it, but stability is not guaranteed.
5. What happens to my USB devices when I switch between PCs?
The devices will briefly disconnect from one PC and reconnect to the other, which takes 1-3 seconds. It simulates unplugging them from one computer and plugging them into another.
6. Can I connect a USB hub to one of the ports to add more devices?
Yes, you can connect a powered USB hub to one of the downstream ports to expand the number of shared devices. For best results, use the dedicated high-power port (#4) for the hub.
7. Does it support keyboard shortcuts for switching?
No, this model uses a manual button press only. It does not support keyboard hotkeys for switching between the two computers.
8. Will it work with a biometric fingerprint reader or security key?
Most security devices that require a constant connection may not work reliably as the brief disconnection during switching can interrupt their operation. It’s best for standard HID (keyboard/mouse) and mass storage devices.
9. Can I use longer cables to connect my computers that are farther apart?
The included host cables are 1 meter. You can use standard USB 3.0 extension cables or longer active cables, but ensure they are high quality to maintain the 5Gbps signal integrity. Find reliable cables here.
